OK a couple of things here, your AMD CPU and Radeon GPU could be the problem, vMix works best with Intel CPU's and nVidia GPU's. Its as thought there is an encoding bug happening between Pro Tools and Vmix that I'm trying to find Yet, when I record to Vmix through protools there are lots of pops/crackles/clicks. You see, when I record to Pro Tools alone, no clicks or pops. This might be where I'm getting tripped up. The catch here is that I integrated Pro Tools into the chain of audio. Its as though the USB doesn't support 48k playback. I set the board to 44.1 because when I set it to 48, there is no play back from the computer back to the X32. You set the buffer settings in the USB Control Panel at the bottom of your screen in your task bar.ģ. The reason I ask these questions is it sounds like your X32 sample rate is set to high or to low and that can cause clicks and pops. Hi, I have a X32 producer, I run vMix and my X32 in 4800 and I dont get any clicks and pops.Īre you using the X32 X-USB ASIO Driver in the vMix setup? I am.Īnd what ASIO buffer settings are you using? I have mine set to 1024 samples and the safe box is ticked. Is there something I can do to help remove these crackles? A vmix plugin perhaps to improve latency? I know I have a lot going on, but any help will be appreciated! I notice it most on the vocal channels with the most plugins also. Is there something I might be missing? The video also appears to glitch during these pops/crackles, as if there is a processing issue between prot tools and vmix. I still can't seem to rid our live recording of crackles and pops.like intermittent bacon fat popping in a pan. I have plugins on Pro Tools (vocal compression, EQ, delay), which I know might be part of the problem.I made sure that my drivers and firmware are up to date (at least from what I can see).I've changed the Audio input from Low Latency to High Performance mode.I've ensured the bit rates are matching as best as possible (mixer is 44.1, Pro Tools is 44.1 24 bit, Vmix is 44.1 32 bit). That's the routing set up.Įverything works just fine, except for one thing: On the recording/livestream of Vmix, I get a crackling/popping sound every now and then. This is to create a much better livestream mix for our church services, while not messing with front of house mix. Pro Tools then routes back to the X-32, which then routes into Vmix. I have a Behrenger X-32 that routes into Pro Tools 12. I've looked at other forum topics related to my technical issues, but haven't found the solution to my current problem.
